Global Frame Relay
Global Frame Relay (GFR) is an industry-leading network service that features the unique capability of prioritising application traffic over a seamless global network. Time-tested, reliable and currently available in nearly 70 countries, GFR features three unique Quality of Service (QoS) levels, which we call Customised Networking Options (CNOs). These CNOs enable customers to tune their frame relay network to prioritise application performance. For example, SAP applications can be routed over permanent virtual circuits (PVCs) that are designed with higher throughput and less jitter and delay.
Additionally, by using Global Frame Relay CNOs, customers may assign class of service (CoS) levels to frame relay traffic generated by each application in accordance with the priority level assigned to each application. For example, mission-critical enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications such as Baan, Oracle, SAP or PeopleSoft may be routed over PVCs that ensure delivery of traffic created by these applications prior to delivery of traffic created by lower-priority applications such as file transfer protocol (FTP) or Web browsing. By prioritising Frame Relay traffic, this service provides customised, finely tuned, highly efficient global networks for customers that can reduce cost while increasing return on investment (ROI). GFR seamlessly connects to the ATM, Private IP, Public IP and Dial-Up services and is backed by an industry-leading SLA and online performance reports. We provide end-to-end service with site-to-site provisioning and ongoing network maintenance from nearly 70 countries.
GFR can be complemented by the Network Analysis Program (NAP) that may be used to determine application prioritisation and ROI expectations.
